Please, no duplicating, copying, or distribution without my consent. -------------------------------------------------------------- One sould, alone, knew Knew what would happen To the world She could see it And was scared This lone child She had powers Ones she wish she didn't have Powers to peer along the timestream And it frightened her But she was a good soul And wanted to save all she could So she gave people warnings About upcoming disasters And they didn't believe They laughed at her Scoffing at such crazy notions What was one girl to say What would happen Not believing, not caring But then things started to happen To the people she told Her warning were coming true And they grew scared And frightened They could not understand this girl With the powers to see beyond They felt she knew too much And they grew afraid People fear what they do not know Fear grew, swirled Growing ever larger They decided the best course of action Death upon the girl And they advanced She saw it coming But did not resist So her warnings would end They would never know The real disaster ahead She left a message Her last one A letter to those in power Warning of destruction, chaos How it could be changed The leaders received it Contemplated it Heard the story from the news The girl that told the future The girl that knew too much But the girl was dead They could not question her Just heed her letter And they looked at each other And doubted But one guy He took action Changed things around Averting disaster But the girl was still dead She was praised But no one could revive her For fear had killed her Necessity had saved the world But necessity did not save her She had sacrificed herself For the world So that the world could survive While she saw her own path end She was brave This one girl Not alone There are others out there People that are different But don't fear them No, don't fear Show them the world Show them this world has changed That things are better now And the girl didn't die in vain
