     Tell me, what makes a personal normal? 
     Is it the number of limbs 
     How they walk, or sometimes talk 
     Is it if they’re fat or slim? 

     Is it when someone is young 
     Cute or maybe smart 
     Average or just decent 
     Or how about a great heart? 

     What is considered normal 
     To the average guy 
     Just what exactly is average 
     And what is considered too high? 

     Do you have to be an athlete 
     Or play an instrument 
     Sing a lovely song 
     Or is it something one shouldn’t? 

     Does normal mean to gossip 
     About those who are "fine" 
     Keeping in touch with fashion 
     And talking about the newest line? 

     Please, my friend, do tell me 
     Just what is considered "norm" 
     And then maybe I’ll understand 
     Why I feel I can’t reform
