Please, no duplicating, copying, or distribution without my consent. -------------------------------------------------------------- What if it could happen That people could always know What others are thinking The feelings they don’t show What if you could tell What people think inside They don’t know you know it But they don’t quite have to confide The awesome power of knowledge Such a wondrous thing But ‘tis a heavy burden To you forever cling For once you know it all She can’t forget it too You’re stuck with all that knowledge Of what people did do I think it would be better To remain in unknowing bliss And not know all their problems Those things I’d rather miss It’s a double curse To be enlightened thus Of all these newfound things I think I know I must I couldn’t accept such a gift It’d turn my life around And not always in a good way All those secrets to be found It's possible to know too much And trouble then in store For you know what you shouldn't The lure you can't ignore No, I’d much rather remain Ignorant and unaware For if I knew all those things I would hate to stop and stare Secrets are best locked up away Tight into other’s minds No one show know those secrets And thus, they’ll stay confined
