Going to Heaven By Stellar84 -------------------------------------------------------------- This poem belongs to me, Emily. All rights reserved. "But sir," she responded With tears in her eyes "What's the point of my life If I'm doomed to die? What's the point of living And then to find out I'm so full of sin; To hell, there's no doubt" The man only smiled And then shook his head "My daughter, don't worry No more tears should you shed The way to my Father Is open and free And all you must do Is simply believe" The girl looked startled And then did realize This man had two holes In the palms by his side It was then that she realized And was able to see That she need not have worried She was already so free For Jesus had come And taken her place She would go to heaven Full of God's grace And then she did smile No longer alone For Jesus was with her Her soul no longer to roam
