A Friend For Life

We started out as friends
But somehow we grew apart.
And then we found each other again
And made a brand new start.

We've laughed and cried together
During the past six years.
And it has been so comforting to have you.
Especially through the tears.

We've been together through thick and thin
And you know me inside and out.
You know the mistakes that I have made
But you never shut me out.

You are there for me when I need to cry
And I hope I've done the same for you.
You have listened to all of my thoughts.
And proved that our friendship is true.

And even though we must go our separate ways
We will never truly part.
God has blessed me with a friend like you
And you will always be in my heart.
