"Down"
by Elizabeth Trace
Silly to feel like tomorrow I'd awake
And find it all the same
Insane to think it so.
Walk with heels hard against the ground
That way softness is callous drowned
Some speak of forever
Like time ever concerned itself with me
Feeling robbed
Now what is left to see
All but the cracks in my palm
Have lost their trace of he
All but the birds, sing out of key
They, in the air are taunting
Come down I coax
But it's too far down
Too far down
