EDUCATING MAN

(After reading script Educating Rita)

On the first day, God created wine. He tasted it and said, this is good, and the pleasure brought on by the wine should not be lost.

On the second day, God created a man called Adam and fed him with the wine. Adam was delighted, he said, oh, God my creator, I will live for ever, and fed only on the wine, thus the pleasure brought on by the wine should last. God confirmed and said: do so thou should, for that purpose thou were made.

On the third day, God created a woman out of Adam's rib and told Adam, this woman shall make wine for thee, and see to it that it is always sufficient.

On the fourth day, Adam parted with his wine and took the woman instead. While he was indulging his sensuality, he gave his heart to the woman. The woman saw the heart is good, and she kept it with her. Adam felt a pain in his chest. He drank some wine, with the intention of soothing his pain. The wine became bitter to his palate and added a headache to his invalid being: for the goodness of wine can only be felt by heart.

God was furious. He announced the punishment with which man will live ever since: thou man can no longer fully enjoy the pleasure brought on by what I created on the first day, thou shall get drunk easily and forget what thou are. I shall give thee a heart that shall envy, hate, suffer and eventually exhausted.

CONCLUSION:

Because God had made the man to consume wine, the man's palate was designed in such a way that it enable the man to enjoy the virtue of wine and to have his life fulfilled by savoring the pleasure which only wine can provide with. When the man betrayed God and tried to take wine as a remedy for his pain caused by losing his heart, he was due to be consumed by wine rather than consuming wine, which was the original purpose of his life-- thus a tragedy occurred, and more tragedies to follow.
