My name is Salman Azhar and you can call me Salman which means the follower of a true path. It is a persian word dated back to 600 A.D. I was born in Lahore, Pakistan on 9th April. My father is a College Principal while mother is a house wife, however, she used to a teach in a school. I have two brothers, Noman and Furqan.

I started my education from Govt. Central Model High School, Lahore which is one of the best school of Lahore. I passed my Secondary School Examination in 1987 with 5th Position in Lahore and won the Presedential Scholarship. What would be the aim of a student in Pakistan after getting such high marks??? Yeah. Take admission in Govt. College, Lahore, which is of course the best and the oldest college in Pakistan. So, I came in GC, and passed the F.Sc. examination in Pre-engineering in 1989.

In 1990, I joined University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore and graduated in Civil Engineering in 1995 with First Position in the University. I got record marks of 1163/1250 which is still a record.

After graduation, I worked for an year in Nayyar Ali Dada and Associates and National Engineering Services Pakistan Limited (NESPAK) as an Engineer.

In 1996, I got the scholarship from the Govt. of Japan to pursue Master Degree at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok and I finished it in 1998 with 3rd position in my batch.

In AIT, I learned the best and the wrost experiences of my life. The experiences, which I'll never forget and they will never let me forget. After graduation, I started my job in AIT at International Ferrocement Information Center because I didn't want to leave it so early.

Now I am working in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as a Research Fellow in the Derpartment of Civil and Structural Engineering.

This is just the Abstract of my life story. There is a lot which I want to tell you and share with you. Lets wait for the time when I can compile it.
