Sintra
Sintra is a 45 minute train ride from Lisbon. It's a small town with so much to see: castles, museums, etc that it has been declared by UNESCO as a world heritage site. I spent a day there as I enjoyed the scenes and consumed the wine at a restaurant across from the Palácio Nacional de Sintra (below). :) It was also very serene, as I was away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Old buildings; there is a castle at the top of the hill
Beautiful scenes such as this abound in Sintra.
