Menno Simons was ordained to the Catholic priesthood.

Dirkgen Joris, wife of David Joris, and 16 other Davidites, were arrested. Fourteen of them were either beheaded or drowned on 11 June. Another one, a woman named Elsken, was drowned the following month, on 18 July. Dirkgen was one of the 2 survivors. For reasons that remain unclear she was released on 18 June, at which point she made her way to Delft.
