A community led by Gabriel Ascherham was established sometime during this year. The group's size quickly grew to over 1,000 members.

Philip Plenner brought a group of Swabian Anabaptist refugees here to join the Gabrielites, but differences soon arose between the 2 groups. The Philipites decided to move to nearby Auspitz, which they did around 1529-30.
