Angels wept their skyshed tears
As two lovers relunctantly parted ways
The raindrops gently masked their fears
Fears of Goodbye and an end to joyess days.
As miles grew between their romantic bliss
His eyes were caught in a dazing stare
And as he envisioned their farewell kiss
He reached for her hand, only to find it not there.
His thoughts overflowed with memories of her touch
As he tried to fulfill her dreams as his own
He wondered if he would ever feel as much
Desire and joy that a few days of passion had sewn.
Never such a wish had crossed his tender lips
As the one for the years to quickly pass
So to run through her hair with his fingertips
And to hold her in his arms at last.
This poem was written for someone I hold very dear and close
to my heart. And to them I dedicate this page with my thanks for
their inspiration and friendship.
