He was God's wonderful gift to us as we began life's trials,
He touched our hearts with joy though he was here only for a little while.

Always a gentle voice and a kind word to raise our spirits each day,
Always a friendly face to wash our tribulations away.

God has now called His blessed treasure to His side once again,
And though I have faith in the Master's Plan, I shall miss my good friend.

Our dear Rudy was only with us for a little while,
But I shall forever remember our memories and friendship with a smile.
