A Man Indeed

Never a complaining sigh
As he wiped oceans of sweat
From his soiled brow.

Never an undaunting stray
From honor which he held dear
Always hallowed honesty with every breath.

Never too stern with discipline
For judgement was fair and true
And always forgiving of misdirection.

Always supporting and full of pride
Not a discouraging word upon aspirations
His love too grand to thwart any dream.

An education in Manhood he gave
If I've learned half he taught me
I consider the class a success.

A man indeed, my Father is he
And from highest mountains I shout
How proudly I call myself His Son.
