Jesus is the older brother of Francisco and Victor, and came to the orphanage in August, 1998, by the request of his parents, both of whom are in prison.
Jesus had been living with his teenage half-brother, who had been responsible for trying to meet his needs.
When his father saw positive changes in the younger brothers, Francisco and Victor, after just a short time at the orphanage, he requested that Jesus also be allowed to come.
Jesus is living in the home for children aged 4 - 12, while his younger brothers live in the home for children under 4, however, there is always opportunity for the children to get together to play.
Jesus is happy living in the orphanage, even though in the beginning, as with many of the children when they first come, there is an adjustment that is necessary in speech and behavior, in order to comply with the Christian standards that are set by the orphanage.
