ITZEL JANETTE TORRES

August 8, 1984 [Inicio]

Itzel, and her brother Erwin, are living in the orphanage at the request of their father. He was attending a rehabilitation program for drug addicts and alcoholics, that is run by Grupo Amor, the same congregation that founded and supports the orphanage. When their father completed the program, and was successfully rehabilitated, he returned to the city where his family was living, but very soon realized that it was necessary that he move his family to a healthier environment. He requested that Itzel and Erwin, his two oldest children, come to the orphanage, while he and his wife moved with his two youngest children to Colima.

The children are in the orphanage as a temporary placement while their family establishes itself in Colima.
