1. FALSE. Christmas was not even recognized as a holiday until the church began having a Christ Mass on the day of a pagan festival. Many scholars believe Jesus was probably born in the spring instead of December. (See "Just the Facts Ma'am" for more information.)
2. D. Luke 2:1 - "In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree..."
3. F. The Bible never describes their mode of transportation. The picture we have in our minds is from various artists interpretations.
4.E. The Bible records no words spoken by any innkeeper in the Christmas story.
5. F. The Bible only says after he was born, Mary placed him in a manger.
6. TRUE Matthew 1:25 - "(Joseph) had no union with (Mary) until she gave birth to a son."
7.F. No animals are mentioned in Scripture as being present at the time of the birth.
