Ah. . . Cookies!?

Zach is a climber. All little boys are. At least it seems that way at times. Zach also likes cookies. That is another trait frequently observed in little boys. Since Zach likes cookies and likes to climb, he has paid careful attention to where the cookie jar is placed on the shelf and has thought long and hard for a way to save his mother the time of having to get them for him. At last, he's figured it out. He must be careful that she not see him. She's always stopping him when he's having fun and saying "No." He looks through the doorway and sees her in the other room. She is watching TV so this would be a good time. Carefully, he scoots the chair from the table till it's beside the bookshelf. Then he climbs up on the chair and from there onto the bookshelf where he sits beside the cookie jar. He removes the lid and reaches inside. Oreos! What riches he has discovered. He takes out an armful and then replaces the lid. He doesn't want her to know what he's been doing. He climbs down hugging the cookies in his arm. He eats one. They're so good!

There is chocolate on his face, but he can't see it. Now to get to his room. He hugs his armload of cookies and walks in front of the TV past his mom on the way to his room. He smiles at her. It's a good thing she didn't come in there and catch him in the cookie jar. Now she'll never know what he did.
