I've got obstacles to run
and hurdles to jump
just to prove you wrong.
I'm different from anyone you've known.
My heart may carry less experience,
yet I hold love more.
The obstacles I'll run, the hurdles I'll jump,
won't hold me back from what I believe.
You'll keep it in, pretend not to care,
but I know that inside your feelings are there.
I refuse to let a good thing go,
I won't let you slip away,
even if this is all we'll ever be,
I'm glad I got the chance to know you.
My prayers are with you every night.
Always hoping that you'll be fine,
always hoping you'd feel the way I do.
Tell me,
if all circumstances pointed to go,
if all circumstances were different,
if we didn't have obstacles to run,
if we didn't have hurdles to jump,
would you take the chance to love me?
