Why did it all have to end?
Why did I lose such a good friend?
Where you went, I can't quite say,
But I promise I'll see you again some day.
I know that you look back at your life and see
That it wasn't the way it was supposed to be.
It's true that there were many a strife,
But that was no reason to end your own life.
I guess it's too late to tell you this now,
But I had to say it some way, some how,
I'm sorry that I wasn't there
I hope you know I really do care.
You are my friend and though we are apart,
There will always be a place for you, deep in my heart.
I hope you realize just what you have done
And in the end I'll say, you have lost and I have won.
