The Princess

by Rebecca Graff (16)

I hold stars in my hands,
unfolded before you.
A name, a prayer, the spell I speak
that binds across oceans.
A tiny hand holds tighter.
I am a castle without walls
against a knight with no armour.
A dragon can make you fly - A breath of flame and I still burn.
Rescue me with chivalry
the castle guards your heart
as well as mine.
No walls to breach
No gates to crash
you need no sword
to slay villains easily.
Fight for me alone,
and I am yours.
