He speaks of his past as heaven
And his present as hell
She was his angel, his everything
And I am the one to try and fill his void
He tells me I bring him such joy
Then why do his eyes fill with pain when he holds me?
He says I complete him
But when I try to comfort his broken heart
He pushes me violently away
I know the answer to his soul lies in his eyes
It brings me such pain when I look into his eyes
For the slightest joy and cannot see a glimpse of hope
Past the clouds of tears
But I keep trying and telling myself
That his eyes will clear
And happiness is just around the corner
But who am I trying to fool anyways?
