Seeing Me

by Amanda Dubois (14)

As I blow out the candle and jump into bed
Either the room is spinning or else it's my head
I cannot sleep, so I lie there awake
I know it's coming, a giant earthquake
The glass breaks, the pictures fall
I get hit in the head and awake with a call
A mysterious face is wandering around
Trips on a rock and falls to the ground
I get up and run to this person's aide
In this person's hand is something I made
When I see her face, I become completely numb
For she is me, from the yet to come
