This darkness now covers the light in your soul
As if you have come from the land of Sheol
And all that you know would soon be forsaken
But, still in your mind, you would be unshaken
You feel warm in love as you would in a star
But denying this you'll forget what you are
You'll forget what you are to your selfish friends
So you dream of it now, before your life ends
You stick up for something that hasn't begun
And wonder if your heart will ever be won
