When I finally throw
away the masks
I realize that I need them
can't LIVE without them
To survive in this
superficial world.
How hard it is to just be me
With all of these people
staring so hard!
Trying to bring me down.
But they can't
won't
Even if they bring me to my knees
To my knees
So that they
may see me bleed
So that I may bleed
But I'll bleed only
a silent massacre
of a pretty heart
