Cry for me, one last tear
Just so I can live in the illusion
That you did at one time care
My mind knows the truth,
But my heart believes it's own lies
Sing for me, a song of sleep
So I might feel a moments peace
One last day with loving's grace
Before I awake to the sullen reality
That has become my life
And this is all there is, all I am
I can fool myself with tender fantasy,
Memories of days gone by
But when decided to acknowledge actuality
I've become but a circle in the game
Shine for me, through the night
So I can see the way to get back home
Then you can burn out, into your own charade
My time is up within the sun
I'll return to existance beneath the clouds
Living as I always meant to.
