Midnight Love

by Amanda Medina (16)

As you appeared at my window I greeted you with a smile,
You asked "what's up?" and asked if you could stay for a while.
You came in and joined me on the bed,
I listened so closely to every word you said.
We talked for a while and then began to kiss,
We made love in the silence and darkness.
You stayed until the morning light just began to show,
I remember you told me you didn't want to but you really must go.
I couldn't believe it had to end the feeling felt so right,
But at least this time we parted without our usual fight.
I know our love wasn't right from the start,
But the memories of our love I'll forever keep in my heart.
