Without knowing why
My ambitions die
Sometimes hopes aren't enough
You just want to give up
They tell me I'm just a child
That I cannot comprehend
Truth in the words of the wise
And lies from a heart of ice
Laughing at foolish things on the surface
Crying underneath for your lost innocence
I'm tired of all the pretending
Stop all the deceiving
A never ending passageway
Puzzling thoughts of everyday
One more common dilemma
Creating that webbed enigma
Another broken promise
Depression is screaming in my face
There is no peace
Only shattered dreams
