People have dreams
But none are like mine
Playing basketball is my dream
how about you?
What makes you dream?
What do you want more than anything?
Being in the WNBA makes me dream
Being in the WNBA is what I want more than anything
People say it'll never happen
I say it will, and that's all that really matters
To stand up there
Representing your team
With my hand on my heart
I can feel the tears
I'm so proud to be here
My dreams are fulfilled
But when you say it won't happen
You rip out my heart
You come up to me
And tell me my dreams can't come true
And that's when
I cry myself to sleep
Do you want me to tell you that you can't be a doctor?
I could
Do you want me to tell you that you can't be an astronaut?
I could
But since I know the pain
I won't
