Holding onto forever
Something that can never be
And that, that will never be the same
Dying to live, living to die
Drowning in my own apathy
Seeking the answers, to questions
That go unspoken
I would've given you the world
In exchange for your heart
The cold sting of rejection
Reminds us that we are human
But reason do not change realities
Wanting to escape the pain
Of what will never be the same.
