Cycle

by Erik Yannuzzi (19)

life experiences
take me down
the path of the
angst-filled
righteous.

conforming
to non-conformists
while showcasing
my pain.

reminding myself
to exaggerate
my
facial features.

losing the will
to
want not
to go on.

stepping out
of a stream
of pain
and into
an ocean
of indifference.

fulfilled
my
self-centered
needs.

time
goes on,
while everyone
changes.

the newest,
the coolest
change
is to not
change.

to really
conform
to
not conforming.

the whole
concept
is tedious
and exhausted.

the disollusioned
cycle
begins again.
