Concerning Raja and India

by Jayanti Krupa (17)

My Thoughts of you last all day long.
At night those Thoughts are read.
My dreams are driving me to Tears -
But Heaven holds your head.
If it's comfort that I'm wanting,
I'd better want some more
'Cause comfort only skims the top
Of what I"m looking for.

A parallel-lined Monster
Not ever far away
But everywhere I seem to be
And always in my way.
A whole two inches off the ground
They stand forever tall.
A reminder reminiscent
Of a slow and painful Fall

That half the World was forsaken by
And half a World away
And all erected Monuments
Are torn down everyday.
I remember well the time when you
Were crying in the Rain.
Not easy to be seen like that,
Not hard to feel such pain.

You learned to take it all in stride
If even for a while -
The biggest Man I'd ever meet
And in the end a Child.
I did not hear Him like you did,
But I could hear you say,
"You asked me to, and so I will."
Four months ago today.
