You'd be surprised how people can change,
From their cradle to their grave.
You think they're nice,
You think they're sweet,
But then you realize they're not a treat.
You look into their eyes, and visualize...
A caring, loving person deep inside.
Knowing them from their young ages,
You'd think they'd grow up to have the same faces.
Years go by,
You look into their eyes,
And notice they didn't turn out how you visualized.
You laugh and smile,
They look at you.
You look at them, and turn away.
They ask you..."What's wrong?",
You say, "Nothing my dear, it's just funny how people
can change from year to year."
