Darkness looms overhead,
As I crawl to the door:
Open it a tiny crack,
Peek to the door across the way.
Look under the door,
No light excreting from it.
Stand up,
Walk out slowly,
Trying to avoid creaks.
Make it down the hall
And into the bathroom.
Do the tinkle job,
But do not flush
It's too late.
Wash hands quickly
And rush out quietly.
Avoid creaks again,
Safely back in my room
What a relief
I made it back
