A Mask

by Selena Sifontes (15)

Why must you hide,
Why must you be afraid.
I'm not here to make you cry,
Just to say the unsaid.
You're wearing a Mask,
A mask, with a "serious" disguise.
I'm not here to attack,
Nor, to say the "Words of the Wise".
You're Hurt,
You're bleeding inside.
Must be something from the past,
Or is it because I've seen through your disguise?
I just want to help,
To be your friend.
To meet the guy behind the Mask,
To make you see that being loved is not "The End".
