A Blind Man's Eyes

by Jason Blackhurst (17)

I wish I could look through a blind man's eyes,
To see what he sees through the dark disguise.
I wonder what it would be like to be without sight,
I ponder these questions all through the night.
Would he know if I were to flaunt him?
Would he know if I were to taunt him?
Would he know the color of my skin?
Would he know what religion I was in?
Would he know the things that make trouble?
Would he be living in his own peaceful bubble?
Now that I think of how peaceful it would be,
Wouldn't it be better if no one could see?
