Since the American Civil War encompassed approximately 1,200

Battles from April 12, 1861 to May 26, 1865; it will be

impossible to give each Battle attention. I will highlight

the Battles I feel played a significant role in the outcome

of the war, although they all had an effect. This site is

dedicated the thousands upon thousands of Americans, whether

Northern or Southern, who were killed or injured fighting for

a cause they believed in.
