Love, don’t condone

Graphic of a rainbow flag with an overlaid triangle The caption, "Clifton partners want state and church to recognize same-sex marriages," caused me to write. Any true church of God cannot recognize same-sex marriages. The Bible (which I assume churches agree to be the Word of God) is clear that homosexual unions are wrong in the eyes of God. For the church, this cannot even be an area of debate.

Christians are called to be a light in this world. If we are no different than the world, what good are we doing in bringing the lost to Jesus?

The pastor who performed the sermon, yet did not want his name used, said we can "bless gay unions."

How can we bless what God condemns? Yes we can love the homosexual, but no we cannot, as true Christians, condone the lifestyle.

When Jesus walked the earth, He was loving and compassionate to all. However, what many fail to see is that He always told the sinner to turn from the sin and to God
