Legal rights for race, lifestyles not the same

In response to Scott Steven’s letter "Issue 3 decision serves to divide Cincinnati" [Jan. 25]: Why does Mr. Stevens say, "If we granted legal rights to African-Americans then how can we deny rights to gays and lesbians?"

Since when were the gays anything but Americans? They have all the rights any other person has. The African-Americans are a race, not a lifestlye. When you choose to live the lifestyle you choose for yourself, that is a decision not birth-given; and for the words used in your article that Jesus apparently said, that is not what my Bible says. You must have a different one. I have taken classes on studying the Bible. In Romans 1:24-25; (24) Wherefore God also

gave them up to uncleanliness through the lust of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves; (25) Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

It goes on and on - Don’t try to put over on the Christians that gays are living a "normal life".
