You will never believe what happened today. When I walked in I couldn't see my desk because there was a delivery girl standing in front of it with a huge bouquet of roses, at least two dozen of them. Just as I walked up to her, she turned to talk to me and knocked all my pictures and everything off of my desk. I was upset, but what could I do? She was so apologetic. I signed for the flowers, they were for my boss--I think it was her anniversary--and the delivery girl left. Just as I was getting ready to check my email, I looked up and there was a cop standing at my desk. Well, my mind immediately started trying to figure out just how many parking tickets I hadn't paid. Just as I was about to confess, the cop asked me if I wanted to buy a ticket for the Policeman's Ball next week. What a relief, he wasn't there to arrest me. I told him I'd buy a ticket and leaned down to get my purse, but it wasn't there! I panicked. What was I going to do? My cash, my credit cards--my life was in that purse. As I looked up at the cop stupidly, my phone rang. It was my boyfriend. He had found my purse on the counter at home and wanted to know if he should drop it by on his way to work. What a relief. I turned to the cop to tell him I couldn't buy a ticket today, and you know what? He was gone! I looked up and down the aisle for him, but it was like he just disappeared. What a wierd morning!
