The Wilkes County Board of Education permits and encourages the use of educational facilities by organized community groups. The following provisions apply:

-A responsible adult representing a community group must make arrangements with the school principal well in advance of the time the group wishes to use the school facilities.

-The person must assume the responsibility for opening and closing the school, as well as supervising the scheduled activity.

-The group using the school will be held responsible for cleaning the area used and any damage that might occur.
