The human race has evolved from thousands of years ago up and is continuing to evolve through today. Certain questions have always been programmed into the minds of all, "Why am I here? What is my purpose? Who am I?" Each of these questions has plagued humankind's existence since the beginning. I believe that our life's journey is to find those answers.

Satanism, to me, is the representation of the human spirit, the concept of being human. True Satanists realize the humanity in oneself and encourage it. To live on this plane we must learn to accept all aspects of our existence. And for this reason, I am a Satanist.

As a child growing up, I heard the phrase constantly, "Because that's the way it is." However, I must know why. I noticed that few humans "allow" one to be themsleves. One must always strive to be "better" than one is currently. However, I found difficulty in the society definition of "better". Because much of society is "herd-mentality", meaning that others simply behave the way society dictates, I found it difficult to define what a "better" human being was.

So, I began to study. Through study of various paths, I discovered that it is here than one may be human, with all the parts of being human able to be explored. Much of what society dictates as "wrong" or "not good" is simply a human being. Human traits - such as aspiration, satisfaction, desire, indignation, propensity, passion, and inactivity - these are all considered "unacceptable" by society. Why? They all signify us as humans. In order to accept oneself (believe me, this important - the only person you must spend all of your time with is yourself!), one must be willing to accept all the places of oneself, including the aspects that make us what we are.

In my life, I am a person to whom things must be proven. Its existence must be shown before I will give up my current understanding. This path has shown me its existence. Through what I have observed, I see that this is the one place for me, the only one that allows me to truly be myself. I can learn, I can grow, and I can become what I wish. I can be me.

How I follow my path is simply education. I feel that part of my life purpose is to aid the world in understanding that it is acceptable to be human. Although each of us chooses a different way to gain acceptance, I believe that it is something we all want, for each of us wants to live our lives as we wish.

I do not worship a "god-form". However I do acknowledge and appreciate their quintessence. To me, they represent the aspects of self that we must cultivate to learn more about who we are and what our purpose is on this plane. I find comfort in the knowledge and traits they represent, for they are all parts of me. In my beliefs, we as humans made these entities to explain those aspects of each of us that we do not have the capacity to explain in any other way. Perhaps in time, we will know. But for now, I am content to follow the Dark Ones, for it is through them that I realize myself.

I am not judgmental of other paths, and I expect the same consideration in turn. We are all here for the same purpose - to discover who we are and what we, as humans, are supposed to do while we are on this plane. I do not condone the harming of innocence, for it is through them that we gain a better understanding of ourselves. Nor do I not condone the influencing of innocence, for they must find their own path. However, if I can assist them in finding their path, by their inquiring natures and I am able to answer their questions, I will. For it is with this greater understanding of Satanism that they may find the path they seek and, through this understanding they may learn individualism.

My philosophy is about acceptance...acceptance of who you are, who I am, and how we see the world. We each must follow our path. While on this plane, we must come to understand who we are, why we are here, and what purpose our presence on this plane serves. For each of us, we may walk upon different roads. We all have a specific path to follow, one that enriches our lives and makes us what we are. This particular path is mine. It is not something I "chose" but I feel something that was selected for me. Each of us has a purpose and a person to be. This is simply my way find those answers. For I am a human being, and my goal is to know and understand myself.

In my quest for truth, I hope that each of you find your path. May the flame of Kali burn brightly on your path and guide your quest for your truth.
