Late at night the people have traditions that they do. As the night fell burning torches were set on wooden tripodes and the young men raised a song. This means that late at night the people get together and have fun and sing songs. This relates to everyday becasue it tells what they do at night.

Farming is a big part of their lives. It is part of their every day life. Ekwefi still had some cassava left on her farm from the previous farm. This means that Ekwefi had some of her plants that women grow on her old farm. This relates to every day life because it tells the many different kinds of plants they grow, and what is on their farm.

Everybody gets together for breakfast in the morning. As soon as day broke, breakfast was hastily eaten and women and children began to gather at Obierika's compound to help the brides mother in her difficult but happy task of cooking for a while village. This means that the mother of the bride is preparing breakfast for the village. This relates to everyday life because it talks about everybody eating breakfast in the morning.
