Scholar LAMTA: Unless it involves the military, a grand jury must be present for a trial. No one can be tried for a trial twice. No one is forced to be a witness of oneself. The government can't take any property without compensation. To protect oneself in court. If you have to go to court their are laws to protect you. Scholar Bills: Amendment V means that no one must be forced to testify to something that would criminate them in court of law. It was established so that peoples emotions would not be used against them. So, in essence if a person chooses no to, they do not have to speak at a trial for themselves. |

Scholar JAMB: People have right to a jury, unless in military during war time. You can't be charged twice for the same crime. The accused person cannot testify against himself. Private property cannot be taken to use in the public without reimbursement. The Mishna inpreted the law the same. They were quite accurate. Scholar Buds: This amendment means that you have the right to remain silent. They interpreted the law incorrectly. The law is about having a right to remain silent so you do not incriminate yourself. This law can be used when some one doesnt talk to the authority. |
