Scholar Bob: The law means that we as a country are allowed to possess an army to protect ourselves. The people in our country are allowed to have arms in order to protect ourselves. The purpose of the law is to protect the people. This law gives people the right to protect themselves from possible dangers by letting them have weapons. It also gives them an army which protects them.

Scholar Ice Cream: The meaning of this law is that people can own weapons and have a right to keep or own weapons. The purpose of this law is to protect the citizens and the government has nothing to do with it. Another purpose is so the citizens feel secure in their daily lives. This law says if the government were to crash, then the people would have protection. This law could be explained to someone by telling them this is an organzation of people for defense. Weapons should be posessed for protection and not for inproper use.

Scholar 4a's: Our country and the people within it have the right to bear arms to defend themselves. The Mishnah scholars state that our country has the right to an army and its people have the right to arms as a way of defence or defending ones country. If our country is being threatened by another country then we can use military force to defend our country. If a life is being threatened then that man can defend himself.

Scholar Jackets: This law means to us that we have the right to own a weapon in your own house. They (the Mishnah) were accurate in their explaining of the 2nd Amendment. If someone were to break into your home, this amendment gives you the right to use a weapon in self defense.
