Ed and I thought this picture interesting when we first saw it. Now that I find out that it is in CARINA, the keel of the ship ARGO, I am even more interested. What is called the False Cross is also in CARINA.
The picture is almost like a cartoon. I see a fish tail on the left. The 2nd ship ARGO that was in the ancient Zodiac had a twisted fish tail on the left end of the ship like the one in Capricorn. This lively fish tail stands for resurrection in Capricorn, which stands for the death and resurrection of Christ. I wonder if this picture is supposed to represent resurrection. All the ranks of the first resurrection take place before Satan is chained. He will be looking on with sinister eyes.

RUSSIA WELCOMES ARAFAT, CAUTIOUS ON SUMMIT IDEA
5-30-01 - Ha’aretz reports: "Russia offered traditional words of sympathy Tuesday to visiting Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat, but responded coolly to his idea of calling an international summit to stop bloodshed in the Middle East....

ISLAMIC STATES URGE U.S. TO STOP MIDDLE EAST WAR
5-29-01 - The Middle East Newsline reports: "Islamic states are urging the United States and the United Nations to intervene in the Israeli-Palestinian war and end all diplomatic contacts with the Jewish state. The call came amid plans by the Organization of the Islamic Conference to send a delegation to the West to press for Palestinian rights.
A statement said the envoys would meet Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian President Yasser Arafat.
The envoys, including Cardinal Pio Laghi, a seasoned 79-year-old diplomat, will hand the two leaders a personal letter from the Pope.
The aim of their mission is to "encourage both sides to reach a cease-fire and to resume a dialogue," the statement said.
Laghi, who served in the Vatican diplomatic service in Jerusalem, Latin America and the United States, is being accompanied by Monsignor Giovanni d'Aniello of the Vatican's Secretariat of State.
They left Rome for Jerusalem Wednesday....
I think we need to hear from you,I know it must be soon, unless you are not there. Then we may have a few problems over here. God bless you. we love you, and Ed
If Pentecost could be June 3, as some think, it seems possible for things to jell by that time. We will know soon. It seems to me that the Beast of Rev. 13:3-10 will be given power over the nations at the beginning of the first 1260 days of the Tribulation. That hasn't come to be yet. Agape
I will be 56 years old this year and with your help the bible is starting to come alive for me. I discovered your site about 6 months ago and have learned more in those 6 months than I have learned in all of my previous years. I love the Lord with all my heart and look forward to meeting you after we are caught up to be with the Lord before the 7 year tribulation period begins.
If the rapture does not take place on May 27-28, 2001 as projected, it seems we need to challenge the assumptions that led to that date and then keep searching the scriptures for more clues. I noticed in P & C 756, that you start with the year 5278 and then add the 6 blocks of years in the 400s. Please explain where the year 5278 comes from. Let me know how I can help.
Anyway, I like you, are in this for the long haul and will wait patiently upon the Lord. Thanks again
> > Please explain where the year 5278 comes from.
Our year 1517 (Jewish 5278) is the year the Ottoman Turks took Palestine and the year Martin Luther started the Protestant Reformation. He tacked his 95 theses to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany in 1517 (5278). The Turks fled Jerusalem before Gen. Allenby 400 years later, in 1917. Gen. 15:13 says, "he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not their's, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years." That affliction applied to Egypt, but foreshadowed the 400 years the Ottoman Turks held Jerusalem too.
Thanks for your offer to help. Thinking through it again. The Oslo Accords were signed on Sept. 13, 1993. If there are 7 good years and 7 bad years as when Joseph was in Egypt, we come to Sept. 13, 2007 (Tishri 1, 5768, the Feast of Trumpets). The Accords were ratified in Israel 3 days later on Tishri 1, 5754. Adding 14 years brings us to Tishri 1, 5768, which is Sept. 13, 2007. Back up the 2300 days in Dan. 8:13,14 (by Jewish inclusive reckoning), and we come to Sivan 6, 5761 (May 28, 2001). This is both called Pentecost (50) and Feast of Weeks, so it is a perfect time for the 70th week of Daniel to begin. The space between Pentecost and Trumpets varies. It is not always 2300 days. There isn't another 2300 days between those dates for awhile. I know I checked at least to 2014 and probably more without finding such a total between those feasts.
From Palm Sunday (when Jesus was refused as king) in 30 AD to Av 10 (when the temple proper was burned) in 70 AD was 40 years plus another 120 days. In our days, there are 40 years plus another 120 days from June 7, 1967 (when Israel regained the temple area) to Sept. 13, 2007. That is Tishri 1, 5768, which is a Jewish Leap Year with the 13th month. This is necessary for there are 7 months (Eze. 39:12,13) between the Day of God's Wrath and the Second Advent on the following Nisan 1 (first day of the Jewish Regnal Year and Sacred Year) (Eze. 29:17,21; Hos. 6:3). I don't see how it can be moved.
The Beast rides forth on the white horse as the 1st seal on the Title Deed of the Earth is broken. He rules the first 1260 days (Rev. 13:5). The False Prophet rules the rest of the 2300 days. It is the Great Tribulation that gets shortened (Mt. 24:22). Moses and Elijah prophesy the same 1260 days that the Beast rules. When the False Prophet comes to full power Mid-Trib, he kills them, probably when he sits in the temple shewing himself that he is God (II Thess. 2:4). Can you see it differently? Agape
Note: The actual calendar may differ from the Talmudic Jewish Calendar. However, the Talmudic Calendar should get us in the ballpark. Stay alert to the news of the peace process.
Please keep up your good work. I may not agree with all you write, but I am extremely glad to have a sister in Christ who loves the Lord as much as you evidently do. Some day, I hope soon, we will understand it all. Since we're probably all wrong about one detail or another, it makes you kinda humble, doesn't it? Perhaps Chad thinks we all have to have an A+ in knowledge to be saved.
I know, accept and love a pastor that believes in the pan-tribulation theory; that it will all "pan out" in the end! Sorry, poor joke; but he's real and this is what he said. I suppose he isn't saved according to Chad's standard of judgement. By the way, isn't Chad in danger of being judged by his standard of judgement? Hmmmm... What does that mean for him, especially if his judgement is wrong? Oh well, what really matters is this...
Christ paid the penalty for my sins by dying on the cross and rose as proof that the Father accepted His sacrifice for me. I believed it, I received it and it's been quite an adventure through life since, even though I'm only 49 and not a pilot. May the Lord bless your efforts
As far as not agreeing with everything I write, I doubt that any two people would agree on everything. The Bible is too complex. As I learn more, I may not agree with something I wrote before, either. I am just doing my very best at the time to understand Scripture. I am tickled when someone else can see something I can't, and can teach me so that I can see what they see. We are all winners when we compare our thoughts and explore the pro and cons of a subject. And yes, not knowing everything keeps us humble.
Pilot or not, one of these days before long, we're going to fly. I'm checking on the news from Israel each night, following the peace talks. I may not understand everything, but I am sure watching and trying my best. Do you think there is any significance to the floor in the wedding hall in Jerusalem giving way and people falling into a dark hole? Agape
There is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that when we rejoice with you in our meeting with the Lord, that you will receive immense reward for awakening believers to the need for personal purity and readiness for the Bridegroom's call!
The scoffers and hostile individuals who are bound to e mail you at this juncture deserve no more that a quick delete button...which I fear will be what some will receive from the Lord Himself...the hatred and animosity exhibited in those e mails cannot belong to a spirit directed believer.
God Bless you and restore you as we continue to wait for His perfect timing. Much Love
I really wasn't too surprised that the Rapture was not on Sivan 6, because I think the Pope and UN will get into the deal to get the peace covenant confirmed. Dan. 9:27 says, (JPL): "he shall make a firm covenant WITH MANY for one week; and for half of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease; and upon the wing of detestable things shall be that which causeth appalment; and that until the extermination wholly determined be poured out upon that which causeth appalment.’"
(LXX): "one week shall establish the covenant WITH MANY: and in the midst of the week my sacrifice and drink-offering shall be taken away: and on the temple shall be the abomination of desolations; and at the end of time an end shall be put to the desolation."
Sure enough, in today's news, the Pope sent an envoy to Jerusalem to deliver his letter to Arafat and Sharon.
I'm so thankful that Ed got me on the Internet. I can get the news coming out of Israel quickly now. I just checked the wailing wall camera and had to laugh when I told Ed what happened. They changed the angle of the camera so we can't see the face on the wall now. (On second thought, maybe they just zoomed in closer.) The picture doesn't show the upper part of the wall. I have 4 pictures taken at different times that show it though. The cat is already out of the bag. Agape
Prophecy is not a byproduct of our belief or a secondary issue for a Christian, but is the heart of it, our Blessed Hope. The promise of the second coming of Christ and the promise to keep His from the time of trouble to come should be the lifeblood of our faith. Fulfilled prophecy is what assures us that as yet unfulfilled prophecy will indeed be fulfilled for God changes not.
I have been disappointed before, and was disappointed yesterday, but we just don't have all the details collected yet. You will! Keep looking up, our redemption draws near. For you there is a crown for being excited at his coming (your honor from Him).
I think the Beast will be the Tribulation Pope. In Rev. 17:10, he "is" in power at the time of the Pre-Trib Rapture. Those that "are with him (the Lamb of God) are called, and chosen, and faithful" (17:14). In Rev. 13, the Beast continues. This makes me think he is in power before the Rapture, but is given new duties after the Rapture. When he is given new powers for 42 months (1st 1260 days of the Tribulation), we will be among "them that dwell in heaven." Rev. 13:5-7 says, "there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power (exousia, the sign of regal authority, a crown) was given unto him TO CONTINUE forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy (blasphemia, impious and reproachful speech injurious to divine majesty) against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle (skene, habitation), and THEM THAT DWELL IN HEAVEN (the wise Philadelphian virgins). And it was given unto him to make war with the saints (foolish Laodicean virgins) and to overcome them: and POWER WAS GIVEN HIM OVER ALL KINDREDS, AND TONGUES, AND NATIONS."
Darby's translation of v. 5 says "there was given to it authority to pursue its career forty-two months." I think he will continue his career as Pope, but have power over all nations too. He can't overcome the saints in Heaven, but he can overcome the saints left behind on Earth.
This man rides on the scene in Rev. 6 on a white horse as a prince of peace. He gets his crown when the 1st seal is broken as the Tribulation begins and a sword when the 2nd seal is broken, probably the next year. The elders and wise Philadelphian saints are in Heaven when the 7-sealed Title Deed to the Earth is given to Christ. That is before the 1st seal is broken.
These things and more can pop at any time. The Bilderbergers were to have finished their meeting May 28. I 'm sure they have plans for the OWG that we haven't even heard of yet. Agape
Yesterday I spent several, several hours on the web looking for answers about why some said Pentecost was on May 28th while others said June 3.... I came up with some stuff, maybe you will find interesting.
Shavuoth (weeks) is celebrated on May 28th 2001, because it falls on Sivan 6, and it is Jewish tradition to celebrate it on Sivan 6.
Pentecost (feast of weeks) is celebrated on June 3rd 2001, Sivan 13, because it is litterally counted 50 days from Passover.
Which is the stronger tradition????
To have Pentacost always fall on a Sunday? Or to have Shavuoth always fall on Sivan 6?
I don't know, but there is a slight difference between these days, and I have included links for you if you would like to read more of the explanation for this....
Pentecost: http://www.annieshomepage.com/pentecost.html
Shavuot: http://www.annieshomepage.com/shavuot.html
Also this is a very good link about all the Jewish Feasts that I found very helpful: http://www.annieshomepage.com/feastsa.html
I really looked into the feast of Trumpets (as a possible time for Rapture), but I still think Pentacost is the Feast day for our Rapture... Trumpets seems to be fulfilled when the trumpets of Revelation are sounded and perhaps when the final great harvest is gathered in at that 2nd Rapture... Jesus is the main Star of all the seven feasts... Pentacost has been fulfilled by the Holy Spirit, but will be fulfilled by Jesus when he calls us home at the first Rapture (I'm just guessing)... If one looks at all the feast we can see they all point to Jesus.
Hope to see a new Pro/Con soon. God bless you.
P.S. I wrote to the lady who's website this is on, and she basically said that all the answers she knew were already there, just have to read it very carefully to get some understanding. She is a very nice Christian lady, and has a very nice website with lots of cool things on it.
There is always the chance that the Lord is going by the astronomical calendar and I am going by the Jewish Talmudic Calendar too. Anyway, this gets us in the ball park. Now, we should keep close tabs on the peace process, the Pope and the UN/OWG. It seems like we have the puzzle pieces, but they haven't quite been put together yet.
I'm not discouraged. Don't worry about me. I am strong in my faith and already well aware of my inability to always be right. :-) I am running the race as hard as I can, nevertheless. I think these are exciting days to live in. We get to see prophecy fulfilled before our eyes. I am so thankful to be on the Internet, where I can get updates on the news frequently.
> > I still think Pentacost is the Feast day for our Rapture... Trumpets seems to be fulfilled when the trumpets of Revelation are sounded and perhaps when the final great harvest is gathered in at that 2nd Rapture...
I thought so, but it doesn't seem that things can rock around another year before the peace agreement is confirmed, either. Any time between now and June 21 (summer) still looks good. We just have to be patient and see. I do expect the Pre-Wrath Rapture on the Feast of Trumpets. Rev. 18:4 is probably talking about that day. It says, "I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."
I just checked the wailing wall camera again. They still have it on a closeup view so we can't see the face on the wall. That sure makes me curious to know why they changed it. Whether we can see it any more or not, I got 4 pictures of it at different times.
Song of Solomon 2:7-3:4 in the LXX is very interesting. It says, "I have charged you, ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the powers and by the virtues of the field, that ye do not rouse or wake my love, until he please. The voice of my kinsman! behold, he (the kinsman Redeemer, Y'shua/Jesus Christ) comes leaping over the mountains, bounding over the hills. My kinsman is like a roe or a young hart on the mountains of Baethel: behold, HE IS BEHIND OUR WALL, looking through the windows, peeping through the lattices. My kinsman answers, and says to me, RISE UP, COME, my companion, my fair one, my dove. For, behold, the winter is past, the rain is gone, it has departed. The flowers are seen in the land; THE TIME OF PRUNING HAS ARRIVED; the voice of the turtle-dove has been heard in our land. The fig-tree has put forth its young figs, the vines put forth the tender grape, they yield a smell: ARISE, COME, my companion, my fair one, my dove; yea, come. THOU ART MY DOVE, IN THE SHELTER OF THE ROCK, NEAR THE WALL: SHEW ME THY FACE, and cause me to hear thy voice; for thy voice is sweet, and thy countenance is beautiful. Take us the little foxes that spoil the vines: for our vines put forth tender grapes. My kinsman is mine, and I am his: he feeds his flock among the lilies. Until the day dawn, and the shadows depart, turn, my kinsman, be thou like to a roe or young hart on the mountains of the ravines. By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loves: I SOUGHT HIM, BUT FOUND HIM NOT; I called him, but he hearkened not to me. I will rise now, and go about in the city, in the market-places, and in the streets, and I will seek him whom my soul loves: I sought him, but I found him not. The watchmen who go their rounds in the city found me. I said, Have ye seen him whom my soul loves? IT WAS AS A LITTLE WHILE AFTER I PARTED FROM THEM, THAT I FOUND HIM whom my soul loves."
According to Isa. 18:3-6 (KJV), this pruning is "afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower." Then wouldn't the harvest be in just "A LITTLE WHILE"? The spies went into the promised land at "the time of the firstripe grapes" (Nu. 13:20).
Heb. 10:35-38 (KJV) says, "Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For YET A LITTLE WHILE, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry (chronizo, tarry so long). Now the just shall live by faith" (not sight). Agape
