Remember . . .
The "Healthy Body Calulator" can give us a lot of valuable information about our health
and diet. You can find it at the following web site:
www.dietitian.com/ibw/ibw.html
Enter your personal data (as much as possible). Find out your maximum recommended daily fat
intake and minimum daily fibre intake.
O.K. You know how much fibre you need (minimum) and how much fat you can have
(maximum) to stay healthy. Now imagine you are spending the day shopping in Toronto. You
didn't bring a lunch, and you don't want to spend a lot of money or time at a restaurant. (You're
spending it all shopping!!) So, you decide to eat at fast food restaurants.
Try to plan three meals for the day at restaurants from the list on the Fast Food Finder site in #1 above.
Do your best to meet the recommendations for your fat and fibre intake. Remember, you are
shopping, and this will be your only food for the day.
Tell me about your three meals and the total fat and fibre for the day. Was it easy/difficult? (You can also add a couple snacks if you like, but this will probably make it more difficult.)
