The other major work we did was spiritual warfare around the city of Tiranë, which is the spiritual, political, cultural and economic center of Albania. The center of the city is Skanderbeg Square, so we spent a lot of time in that area praying for the country.

Still the site of many demonstrations, Skanderbeg Square is home to the museum (seen below behind me), a huge business center, a park, a statue of Skanderbeg, and the Elim Bay Mosque (to the right).

The highlight of the trip for me was spending time with Landon and Jonathan, the Yoders two oldest sons. Ever since I met them in 1994, we have been in contact. They are true heroes of the faith; taking the gospel into dark places with wisdom far beyond their years. I got to stay in their house and we had many late-night conversations and spent a lot of time together. I miss these guys. This probably isn't the best picture I've ever been in, and we don't normally look stupid.

The most striking thing to me during my stay in Tiranë was all the street children. Everywhere there were kids with ratty clothes and hungry bellies. I really have a heart for kids, and whenever I got the chance I'd hang out with them, playing soccer or just chatting. I met this little fellow above, Arbi, while we were packing supplies one day. One of the saddest sights I saw was a child sleeping on the street, seen below.
