Forbidden Thoughts

We all have them at some point in life
those deep, dirty and forbidden thoughts.
Some intertwined with honest pleasures
like tantalizing delicate spots.

We all crave furtive hopes in our lives
erupting in wild, flirtatious dreams.
The hot and sexy, but married wife
engaged in passionate flings, it seems.

We have such thoughts, even in public
triggered by the most trivial things.
A mundane word, a piece of music
reminds us of those forbidden sins.

How would it feel to actually be
engulfed by those deep and dark desires
would it start to seep through, permeate
the oily surface, ignite a fire?

Maybe it's best those feelings stay sealed
in a place tested by mental shock
for even though they appear unveiled
our dreams endlessly tempt to unlock.
