What is the sound of lonliness?
What color is despair?
How long is the trail of hopelessness?
How low can a person go?

Lonelier than the unanswered call of the lone wolf.
More dark than the deepest night.
Longer than a life alone can bear.
Lower then the deepest sea.

Loneliness kills the heart.
Despair kills the soul.
These along with hopelessness
Make their victims yearn for death's embrace.

Take away the lonely and erase despair.
Clear hopelessness from the air.
And if you can't do these things
Then leave clear the path I seek.
